3 Bold Predictions: Falcons Versus Redskins

Matt Ryan will throw 4 TD passes

The Falcons’ offense has been one of the most productive offenses in the league. However, Ryan has not put up the big time numbers yet. He currently had 6 TDs compared to only 2 INTs, but he has had multiple touchdowns vultured by 1-yard TD runs. He has yet to throw more than 2 TDs in a single game this year, but that is going to change this week against Washington. The Redskins’ secondary has been much improved since last season, but they are still nothing to write home about. They are also missing DeAngelo Hall due to a foot injury. Ryan and the Falcons will pick apart the defense all day and the stats will show it this time.

Falcons will win by 21+ points

This may not seem that bold after the Falcons crushed the Texans last week at home, but it is still hard to win in the NFL every week. The Falcons opened up as 9 point home favorites against the Redskins. When the season began, fans thought they would see a lot more opportunistic defense from Atlanta. They did not force a lot of turnovers in the first 3 weeks, but came up huge against the Texans scoring 2 touchdowns off of fumbles. Kirk Cousins and the Redskins are known for turning the ball over, so look for the Falcons to make them pay and jump on them early at home.

P.S: Washington will also not be able to stop Matt Ryan and company.

Roddy White scores his first TD of the season

Questions surrounding Roddy White are starting to hit the headlines, as many are wondering why he has not been involved in the offense through the first four weeks. White is an Atlanta legend and holds nearly every Atlanta career receiving record, but he has clearly regressed due to nagging injuries and aging over the last few seasons. White recently voiced that he would like a bigger role in the passing game. There are even rumors that other teams could try and pry White away from Atlanta. He may not have a lot of time left as a Falcon, but look for Kyle Shanahan to get him more involved this week.
