Important dates on the Atlanta Hawks regular season schedule

The Hawks have released their full preseason and regular season schedule for the 2016-2017 season.

Atlanta opens up the preseason on Thursday, October 6th against the Memphis Grizzlies, the first of seven preseason matchups.

The Hawks kick off the regular season on October 27th in Atlanta against the Washington Wizards.

Dwight Howard has his first encounter with his former team on November 5th in Atlanta. Atlanta heads to Houston on February 2nd.

Atlanta faces their former all-star point guard, Jeff Teague, on November 23rd. Teague will be back in Phillips Arena for the first time on March 5th.

The Cavs and Hawks meet four times in the regular season. The first of which occurs on November 8th in Cleveland.

On November 28th, Atlanta heads to Oracle for their first meeting with new-look Golden State Warriors. The Hawks host the Warriors on March 6th.

The Hawks will  not host their annual MLK day game for the first time since 1999. Instead, the Knicks will host the Hawks on MLK day, one of fifteen scheduled nationally televised games for Atlanta.
