Miguel Almiron, or “Migoal Almiron” is proving to be quite the player for the Five Stripes. The 23 year old Paraguayan got off to a hot start for the expansion side, scoring two goals in snowy Minnesota during the team’s second ever match.

After not finding the net for eight matches following his two goal outing, people were beginning to criticize Miguel for not shooting the ball. These struggles were especially noticeable during a 1-1 tie against the Portland Timbers, when Almiron made a few extra passes during chances where he probably should have just shot.

Not letting the talk get to him, Miguel Almiron did the thing. He shot the ball, and when Miguel shoots, Miguel scores. He responded to the criticism by recording his first career hat trick against one of the leagues better teams.

Let’s hope Almiron can continue to #GetMiggywithit and lead the Five Stripes to the playoffs.
