Mike Scott Arrested, Faces Felony Drug Charges

According to AccessWDUN, an Atlanta Hawks player has been arrested. On Thursday morning, Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott was arrested due to having drugs in his possession. Scott was the passenger in a car with 20-year old Antonn Imhotep Scott, and both admitted to having marijuana in their possession. Banks County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carissa McFaddin said, “Deputies located over an ounce of Marijuana in the vehicle along with approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA (Molly).”

Police attempted to pull over the vehicle due to violating a yield sign, as the driver apparently was going 98 mph. Mike Scott was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of Schedule I drug (Molly). The driver was charged with a lot more than the Hawks forward, but Scott will have to deal with the repercussions.

The Atlanta Hawks have yet to release a statement on this matter. Scott saw his playing time decrease significantly in the playoffs, and this arrest will most likely be a factor in Scott’s future with the Hawks. Not good news for the Hawks, and certainly terrible news for Mike Scott.
