Julio Jones and the Falcons have still yet to agree on a contract extension. But it looks as if both parties will end up agreeing to terms soon enough. Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank stated earlier today that he expects Julio Jones to be a lifer for the team.

It comes as nothing but great news for the team. Julio Jones is a top talent and he is no diva like other top players at his position. Jones is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is likely to get a contract worth up to $15 million a year. Fellow receivers Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas both received five years/$70 million, so Jones’ contract will be around the same.
Arthur Blank was also impressed on the shape that Jones showed up in to training camp. Blank stated. “The player has been fabulous. He came into camp in great shape.” The owner also went on to state how impressed he was with the receiver’s agent. Julio Jones and his agent (Jimmy Sexton) have done their best to keep this contract as quiet as possible. They have done an incredible job in not being a distraction to the team. Look for Jones to receive his contract extension in the next couple of days.
