Shelby Miller Almost Tosses a No-Hitter Against the Marlins

In the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs, Shelby Miller was looking to throw a no-hitter. All Miller had to do was get Justin Bour out. With the first pitch of the at-bat, Bour roped a single up the middle to take away Miller’s chance of accomplishing an incredible feat. It leaves a sour taste in Braves fans mouths because who doesn’t want their player to make history? The Braves won the game 6-0, while Miller allowed another hit before all was said and done. There were fans that could not believe the Braves traded a name like Jason Heyward to the Cardinals for a “good” pitcher, but it looks as if it has paid off so far. Miller’s ERA now is the lowest in baseball at 1.33. It looks like Miller is starting to become a feared pitcher in the National League, and look for Miller to be the Braves ace for years to come.
