Another Falcon Cut

Another Atlanta Falcon has been cut from the team. Jonathan Massaquoi, defensive end, was the fourth Falcon in the past 24 hours to be released from the organization. Massaquoi was the 154th pick in the 2012 NFL draft for the Falcons out of Troy University. In the 39 games he has played, he only recorded 6 sacks. Many would think it would be an obvious cut with the low sack total, but many Falcons fans disagree with the way he was utilized. Fans felt that he should have played more, especially in the past year. Massaquoi believed he should of been playing when he stated publicly this past season, “I really haven’t been given the pass-rush opportunities to go out there and execute my talents.” We wish we could have seen Massaquoi’s full potential as an Atlanta Falcon, but it was never meant to be. The move only saves $660,000 for the Falcons.
