This year’s been so crazy that the 2020 and 2021 Braves schedules were released just three days between each other. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a look at the road to the playoffs in the shortened 60-game season.

The Braves will play 40 games within their division and the other 20 against the AL East. Yesterday, the 2021 schedule was released, and here’s what it looks like.

Let’s hope to God that the coronavirus doesn’t get in the way of another season of sports. But right now, I don’t even want to think about that.

A few notes on next year’s schedule: The Braves will begin on the road in Philadelphia just like they did in 2019 when they were swept to open the season. They still went on to win 97 games and cruise to their second straight NL East title, while the Phillies finished .500.

Like this year because of the shortened schedule, the Braves will be pinned against the AL East in their interleague matchups. That means games with the Red Sox and Yankees, which are always highly anticipated series when they come to Atlanta. The Braves will play Boston at home on June 15-16 and New York (AL) August 23-24.

However, the most significant aspect of the entire schedule is that All-Star Weekend, which will begin on Monday, July 12th, is taking place at Truist Park. It is the first time the game has been in Atlanta since 2000 when it was at Turner Field. If you didn’t get to experience that one, you will not want to miss this one. The All-Star Weekend festivities are something every baseball fan should enjoy at least once in their life.

Other than that, there’s not much difference. The Braves end their 2021 season with six games against the NL East — three with the Phillies followed by three with the Mets. Those contests could end up deciding the division, but hopefully, the Braves have things locked up before then.
