Atlanta made a flurry of roster moves today, but their plans for tomorrow’s start are still uncertain.
The #Braves today placed RHP Chris Martin on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 6, with an esophageal constriction and recalled RHP Chad Sobotka to Atlanta. The club also claimed LHP Robbie Erlin off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Hopefully Chris is okay, not to speculate, but it sounds like he may have had some sort of allergic reaction. Sobotka returns after tossing a scoreless inning vs Toronto on August 4th.
Robbie Erlin is an interesting addition. He’s never been elite by any means, but he played in San Diego from 2013-2019. He’s posted a career 4.58 ERA but has plenty of experience. I doubt he will be in Atlanta anytime soon, but the club must see something in him to claim him from Pittsburgh.
