Braves: Freddie Freeman dominates Players Choice Awards

Braves: Ten over/under predictions for 2020

The official MLB awards have been voted on but have yet to be announced. However, the Players Choice Awards — voted on by the player’s, obviously — were announced today, and as expected, Freddie Freeman was mentioned a few times. Not only did the Braves first baseman win the NL MVP award, but he also won the MVP award for the entire league (officially called the MLB Player of the Year and NL Outstanding Player).

This is how it should have played out. Freeman was at or near the top of the league in every offensive category. He finished the season with a 1.102 OPS, 23 doubles, and 13 homers — all while playing Gold Glove defense. Freeman never missed a game and is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Hopefully, that’s the case again when the MLB awards are officially announced.
