Well, it seems a lot of Braves country has jumped the gun yet again, and unsurprisingly, Alex Anthopoulos knows exactly what he’s doing.

Even though Atlanta missed out on Brad Hand, Kirby Yates, and Liam Hendricks, both Mark Melancon and Shane Greene remain unsigned. I would love to get both guys back, and I anticipate that the Braves should be able to scoop up a really nice bench bat late into the process that hasn’t gotten the money he’s looking for. I’m happy to have Marcell Ozuna, especially at this price point. The flexibility to add now and extend Freddie Freeman before he hits free agency is just icing on the cake.
