The Falcons made another significant addition to their coaching staff on Wednesday, naming Ben Kotwica their special teams coach, replacing Keith Armstrong.

Kotwica has spent the last five years as the special teams coach for the Washington Redskins. Before that, he was with the New York Jets organization from 2007-20013.

According to Vaughn Mcclure of ESPN, Dan Quinn and Kotwica spent time as coaches together on the Jets’ staff from 2007-2008, when Quinn was the defensive line coach.

He is the third coach the Falcons have hired in the last two days, including Dirk Koetter at offensive coordinator and Mike Mularkey as tight ends coach.
