Falcons: How long might Calvin Ridley be out?

Calvin Ridley left the second quarter of last night’s game with a foot injury. It didn’t take long for the Falcons to eventually rule him out for the remainder of the game, but fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious. Ridley’s X-Rays on his foot came back negative, and Raheem Morris is hopeful that he could be ready for the Falcons next game against the Broncos. Since the Falcons played on Thursday, they will have a few extra days of rest, which will likely be crucial for Ridley to avoid missing any time.

We will know more after that MRI; however, Pro Football Doc seems to think Ridley will miss at least a few weeks.

From the way it looked live, I would be shocked if Ridley didn’t miss at least one game. The good news is it doesn’t look like the injury will require surgery, and the Falcons have a lot of time to rest over the next few weeks. They only play one game between now and November 22nd, when they clash with the Saints. Atlanta will definitely want to have Ridley for that one, so expect them to take things slowly, which could mean holding him out against the Broncos.
