Surprisingly, the Falcons elected to keep a ton of receivers on their 53-man roster. That may change, depending on if the Falcons decide to add some offensive linemen or defenders when they submit their waiver claims. Still, even though it isn’t the weakest position group, there are some receivers I hope Terry Fontenot considers. Unlike fantasy football, the Falcons will get any player they claim without resetting their priority, pending they aren’t claimed by the Jaguars, Jets, or Texans first. Here are a few wide receivers I have my eye on:
Don't really understand why the Chargers cut Tyron Johnson. One of the better deep threats last year pic.twitter.com/tNynGnMYra

Travis Fulgham got cut. Never forget when he put up 152 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers pic.twitter.com/4It4JsJutO

Obviously, the front office may not see all of these guys as upgrades, but I think Johnson and Newsome would be terrific pickups. Newsome would be like adding an extra draft pick with upside on special teams. Tyron Johnson would make for an incredible deep threat. We’ll see what the Falcons do, and while there are other needs, I think they can improve their receiver room fairly easily.
