Atlanta must be very confident with the incumbents on the interior of their defensive line heading into the 2020 season. After locking up Grady Jarrett, they’re cementing the 2nd piece for the foreseeable future.

The 27-year-old former New Orleans Saint played pretty well after coming into Atlanta on a “prove it” contract with a wide-open defensive tackle spot next to All-Pro Grady Jarrett. He was effective in the run game, and you have to think Atlanta is getting him on a bargain if they’re locking him up with their limited cap space. This also throws a major wrench into the upcoming draft, Falcons fans have been begging for Javon Kinlaw, and this move could potentially take Atlanta out of the running for his services as a first-round pick, but that’s merely speculation. We’ll update you on the details of Davison’s contract as they become available.
