Harry Douglas Released by Falcons

The Falcons have cut 7-year veteran wideout Harry Douglas Friday morning. Douglas had 258 catches, 3310 yards and 8 touchdowns in his Falcons career. This move comes somewhat as a surprise, as Douglas was a reliable receiver who had to step up the last couple of years with Roddy White sidelined. However, having Douglas as a number 3 receiver is a luxury in this league. This was purely a cap move and it freed up $3.5 million for the Falcons. With Douglas and Jackson both gone the Falcons have already cleared over $7 million in the last 24 hours. It is evident that the Falcons are trying to make a big splash in Free Agency this offseason.
