According to Brad Rowland of Peachtree Hoops, Onyeka Okongwu was taken off the injury report ahead of the Hawks’ matchup with the Utah Jazz.

The Hawks took the former Trojan with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, and he has yet to play in an NBA game. All signs point to Big O being available to make his NBA debut after missing the first several weeks of the season due to inflammation in his foot. I wouldn’t expect Lloyd Pierce to approach getting Okongwu acclimated any different than Tony Snell, likely having his minutes ramped up slowly in a backup role.
