NBA 2Ks Top 100 Players:

Trae Young (85)

Trae Young garnered an 85 rating on 2k this season, which I feel was a little low. He did have a rough start to the season, but if he’s the player he was during the 2nd half of last season, I think he’s more of an 87-89. That would put him in the same range as Mike Conley, D’Angelo Russell, and Kemba Walker. At 85, he’s tied for 11th with Chris Paul, Eric Bledsoe, and Kyle Lowry. Also, his 3-point rating is set at 82, which is way too low. 90+ all day.

John Collins (84)

This one is a little disrespectful to me. I think Collins is easily an 87. That would put him tied for the 3rd best rating among power forwards behind Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin, and tied with Kristaps Porzingis, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Pascal Siakam. He’d also be one point ahead of Draymond Green. I think JC has reached that tier, but Ronnie 2k will see this season when he’s an all-star.

Rookies:

De’Andre Hunter (77)

This is probably about right for De’Andre. He rates as the 4th best rookie (right where he was drafted), and surprisingly carries an 82 3-point rating. I thought it would be a little lower, but De’Andre is going to have to prove that mark and hopefully build on it to push into the 80s overall before the season ends.

Cam Reddish (75)

Cam comes in as the 5th highest-rated rookie despite being drafted 10th overall. I think his 75-3 point rating is just a tad low, but he should still be a fun wing to plug in and play with on the Hawks as the sixth-man behind Kevin Huerter. Hopefully, he’s another guy we see pushing 80 before the season is over by proving the doubters wrong.

Bruno Fernando (71)

Bruno comes in at 71 with a nasty 85 overall dunk rating. Defensive stats don’t lend much to 2K ratings, so take this one with a grain of salt. It would be nice to see Lloyd Pierce develop a jumper with this kid; he could be a special player if he does. For now, he grades out around where every other early 2nd round pick is.

Starters & Major Role Players:

Kevin Huerter (76)

Kevin is the only one I’m going to touch on here. 76 is too low for this kid. I think he’s going to have a monster season, as his 39% 3P percentage will only continue to rise. He should also take a step forward on defense as well. However, 2k is 100% selling him short with an 82 for his 3-point rating. Just like Trae, if this kid isn’t at least 90, it’s just not realistic. He’s that wet.

Jabari Parker (78)

Alex Len (77)

Vince Carter (73)

DeAndre Bembry (73)

Evan Turner (73)

Everyone Else:

Damian Jones (75)

Chandler Parsons (74)

Allen Crabbe (73)

Ray Spalding (69)

Brandon Goodwin (68)
