Hawks Sign Justin Holiday

It has just recently been announced that Justin Holiday will sign with the Atlanta Hawks. Holiday is probably most known for being New Orleans Pelicans guard, Jrue Holiday’s, brother. However, that might all be set to change with the move to Atlanta. Holiday did not see a lot of playing time with the Warriors, but when he did, he proved to be a solid player. He played in 59 games , averaging 11 minutes and 4.3 points per game on 38.7 percent shooting. His best game came on March 13th, when he got the start in place of Klay Thompson. Holiday scored 23 points in the start and showed a lot of potential. At 6 feet 6 inches, Holiday is a long shooting guard with the ability to play the small forward position. The move solidifies the fact that the Hawks will be using a platoon of players to replace Demarre Carroll, who signed with Toronto earlier this offseason. Fans will likely see Thabo Sefalosha assume the starting role next season, with Hardaway Jr., Kent Bazemore and Justin Holiday also receiving minutes. These guys may not all be household names, but I think they are more than capable of filling the void left by Carroll’s departure. But for now, we welcome Justin Holiday, the newest member of the Atlanta Hawks.
