We have written a ton about Tucker Davidson this offseason, and for a good reason. This week, we had the pleasure of having him on the SportsTalkATL Podcast to talk a bit about his offseason. A 19th round pick back in 2016 out of Midland College, Davidson has emerged as one of the team’s top pitching prospects. We currently have him ranked fifth on our SportsTalkATL Top Prospect List. You can listen below, as we discuss working with Driveline Baseball this season, how it has helped him reach over 100 mph on the radar gun, and his role with the organization moving forward:
Davidson was a terrific interview and could be one of the first prospects to make his MLB debut this season, as he is already on the 40-man roster. He also was extended an invitation to Spring Training by the Braves for a second straight season, so it will be fun to see him go up against some major league hitters very soon. Davidson has all you can ask for — a tall lefty with elite velocity along with production, and we could not be any more excited to watch him pitch this season.
