Massive developments emerge between Braves and Diamond Sports Group

MLB: MAY 27 Nationals at Braves

Diamond Sports Group, which owns the newly named Fanduel Sports Network, the local television provider for both the Braves and the Hawks, emerged from bankruptcy today, in large part due to a revised agreement between them and the Atlanta Braves.

On Thursday, the Braves withdrew their objection thanks to a massive development which will allow fans in the local market to stream the Braves directly, likely through Amazon Prime or the Fanduel Sports Network app.

This means Braves fans can stream games without having cable television or access to a streaming service like Fubo or Direct TV. However, the games will not be apart of the typical Amazon Prime package. It will be an add-on feature, but it will cost significantly less than paying for an entire cable network package.

For baseball fans across the league, watching their favorite teams has become extraordinarily difficult since Diamond Sports Group bought the rights to Major League Baseball. It’s been a mess from start to finish, and I’m sure there will be more hoops to jump through in the future. However, as far as 2025 is concerned, streaming the Braves should be easier than ever, a move in a positive direction for the first time in years.
