Report: Braves & Michael Harris close on a massive extension

According to Jon Heyman and Robert Murray, the Braves and Michael Harris are close to agreeing on an eight-year extension worth $72 million:

Amid a two-way race for Rookie of the Year with teammate Spencer Strider, Harris has been fantastic for the Braves, and locking him up right now at a very reasonable rate is wise. He has shown a very advanced approach for a player his age, and he looks to be a piece of the Braves outfield in 2023 and beyond. If Atlanta locks him up, you can add him to a young core in Atlanta that continues to grow. With Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuña, Austin Riley, and others locked up for years to come — the Braves are only expanding their championship window.
