As he’s done so many times before this season, Spencer Schwellenbach came up big when the Braves needed him most. Whether it’s stopping a losing streak or tossing a gem in a must-win Game 1 of a series against the Mets, the rookie has been nails.
Last night, Schwellenbach was nearly unhittable, surrendering just three hits and one run over seven innings against the Mets, bringing his total line against New York to 14.0 innings of one-run ball. He was brilliant, and he got support from the offense.
Marcell Ozuna had a solo homer and is now just one away from 40, while Ozzie Albies and Ramon Laureano each contributed an RBI, but it was Michael Harris II who stole the show, finishing 3-for-4 with a single, double, and a home run. But it wasn’t just with the stick. Money Mike was lights out in the field as well, making an incredible defensive play against Ronald Acuna Jr.’s brother, Luisangel.

Michael Harris II has been feeling himself over the last few weeks, and he’s just in a different zone. Ronald Acuna knows it, letting his little brother hear it following the Braves win on Instagram.
There is actually no way Ronald posted this about his brother omg😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/938cISsoQL

Welcome to Atlanta, baby!
Ronald Acuna Jr. isn’t on the field, but he undoubtedly wants to beat his little brother. It’s a bit ironic. Ronald Acuna and the Braves are big brothers; Luisangel Acuna and the Mets are little brothers.
With two games to play and a potential hurricane, the NL Wild Card is seemingly going to be a photo finish.
