Season Record (2-1)

Steelers (-5.5) vs. Raiders

The public is pretty split on this one, which makes me even more confident. I don’t love the Steelers, but they are at home playing a team that is flying across country on a short week after an emotional victory. This has all the makings of a blowout. I’m hammering the Steelers.

Browns (-12.5) at Texans

The Texans and Tyrod Taylor‘s triumph was heartwarming, but it’s not sustainable, and they aren’t playing the Jaguars this week. I might have been a little worried about a letdown from the Browns if they had beaten the Chiefs, but after losing, they know how important taking care of business is this week. Cleveland is the significantly better team playing at home, and if we are being honest, they looked in mid-season form in a lot of areas last week.

Panthers (+3.5) vs. Saints

Saints are coming off an emotional high and traveling to face a divisional opponent. This isn’t a great spot for them, and while I think the Saints could win the NFC South, I like the Panthers to keep this one close.

Dolphins (+3.5) vs. Bills

Another scenario where I like a 3.5 underdog facing a divisional opponent. I’m not sure how much better the Bills really are than the Dolphins right now, and the Miami heat could play a factor in this one. I might sprinkle the money line here, but if the Bills win, I expect it to be close.

Chargers (-3) vs. Cowboys

The Cowboys have lost something like six or seven straight on the road with Dak Prescott under center. That doesn’t change this week.

Season Record (2-2)

Eagles (+4) vs. 49ers

The public is riding with San Fran, but sharp money is coming in on Philly. The Eagles looked impressive against the Falcons, but many people are attributing that to how terrible the Falcons are. Maybe Nick Sirianni is the real deal. I like the 49ers to win, but the Eagles cover.

Jets (+6) vs. Patriots

The public is on the Patriots more than any other Week 2 matchup (86% of bets on New England); the only reason I need to go the opposite way.

Packers vs. Lions (Over 48)

Green Bay was embarrassed by the Saints, exposing their defensive coordinator change as fraudulent. Aaron Rodgers had an abysmal game, but I fully expect him to come out like a man possessed. The Lions somehow erased a 24-point deficit last week against the 49ers; they’ll be able to put up some points.

Washington Football Team (-3) vs. Giants

Taylor Heineke can help this team win football games, and Daniel Jones is hanging on by a thread. Take the superior defense and mobile quarterback.

Season Record (2-2)

Bengals (+2.5) v. Bears

I’m going all underdogs for this week. I’m not sure Zac Taylor is the right guy in Cincy, but one thing’s for sure — Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow have real chemistry. I think they can keep it close against Chicago.

Bills (-3.5) v. Dolphins

I think the Dolphins could keep this close, especially in a divisional game. I like the under in this game, as well. Still, I’ll take the Bills

Texans (+12.5) v. Browns

I may regret this, but 12.5 points is a LOT. Maybe the Texans show us something.

Cowboys (+3) v. Chargers

Dallas gave Tampa Bay quite the fight, and I have this penciled in as one of the best games of the day. I think it’s gonna come down to the wire.

Patriots v. Jets (u42.5)

Two rookie QBs? Sure, why not.
