Chase Irle’s Locks

Chiefs (-9.5) at Denver

This is my mortal lock of the week. Put your house on it; the Chiefs will blowout the Denver Broncos. Denver pulled off a huge upset last week against the Patriots, and they’ve been better than expected, but that won’t continue in back-to-back weeks against an outstanding Chiefs team. I love this play — Kansas City by at least two touchdowns.

Cardinals (+3.5) at Seahawks

The Seahawks may be 5-0, but it’s time to start questioning just how legit their hot start has been. The only team they have beaten without a losing record is the Dolphins, and they have had several close calls. The Cardinals tend to play their NFC West rivals tough, even when they are bad, and they are far from bad this season. On top of that, giving up more than three points is not wise with a defense as bad as Seattle’s.

Football Team (Pick ’em) vs. Cowboys

To me, the Cowboys might be the worst team in football without Dak Prescott, and players are already turning on first-year head coach Mike McCarthy. I’m not normally one to bet on the Washington Football Team, but I like them to win this week against the Cowboys.

Season Record (9-10)

Jake Gordon’s Locks

Packers at Texans (over 57)

Aaron Rodgers will get back on track against a lousy Texans defense, but I expect Houston to put up enough points to make it competitive, meaning this game is going over.

Jets Team Total (under 17)

Even with Sam Darnold expected to return, I have no faith in the Jets putting up over 17 points against the Bills.

Football Team vs. Cowboys (under 45.5)

Both of these teams are trash, but Washington’s defense is much better than people realize. I don’t trust Andy Dalton at all and see the Cowboys defense playing their best game of the season to keep this one close.
