Atlanta Braves

There might not be a more dead time in sports than when the MLB head’s to their All-Star break in the middle of July. No games in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL or even MLS have taken place since the MLB last played on Sunday. The Braves return to action at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who currently sit in the first place Wild Card spot. R.A Dickey will take the mound for Atlanta against Taijun Walker of the Diamondbacks.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks continue to look through the free agent market to fill out their roster. The focus right now appears to be on the guards. With Tim Hardaway Jr. heading to New York, Atlanta does not have many options at the shooting guard position. Look for them to sign one in the coming days. The Hawks are also searching for backup point guard help, a position that was dreadful for them last season.

Atlanta Falcons

Forbes released their annual list of the 51 most valuable sports franchises. The only Atlanta team to appear on that list was the Falcons at #33 evaluated at an incredible $2.13 billion. A lot of that has to do with their fancy new billion dollar stadium that is set to open for the Atlanta United later this month. The Falcons came in at 20th among all NFL teams but were first among all teams in the NFC South. The Panthers at #37 were the next closest team.
