The rumors and excitement about Josef Martinez returning has reached it’s peak. On Wednesday, Gerardo Martino told reporters that Josef Martinez will travel to Vancouver this weekend for the match against the Whitecaps. While on international duty with Venezuela, Josef suffered a thigh injury that has kept him out of the action since March.
While the team’s beloved striker is making the trip, it still isn’t guaranteed that he will actually see the field. In fact, I wouldn’t count on seeing him listed on the starting XI, but look for him as a substitute. United has definitely found it’s form as of late, and Josef making his comeback will only make the team better.
Tata announced today that the entire team will be traveling to Vancouver, so while that takes a little excitement off the Martinez news, we are still moving in the right direction – and we are close.
