Finally, the superstar wide receiver and the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a contract extension. The news comes in as nothing but spectacular for both sides. The Falcons secure their star player, while Julio Jones gets the money he deserves. ESPN Insider Chris Mortensen reported the amount Jones will receive.
Julio Jones and Falcons have agreed to a new 5-year contract worth $71.250 million and $47 million guaranteed. Team about to announce.

Jones had a career year last year, and Atlanta traded five draft-selections in order to obtain the rights to the University of Alabama beast in 2011. Many believe he is a top-five wide receiver currently in the NFL, and at only 26 years old, he is still entering his prime.
Jones collected 104 receptions, collecting a franchise record 1593 yards, while scoring six touchdowns last season. The only question mark about Jones is his foot, as it cost him the majority of the 2013 season. Arthur Blank stated shortly after the signing, “We could not be more thrilled to make Julio a Falcon for life.” Atlanta fans should be nothing but thrilled that Jones will be in the red and black for the next five years.
