Even in a down year for the SEC, it was still the most competitive conference in college football this season. The Southeastern Conference is where young men come to play the best and develop into NFL-caliber prospects. This year’s AP SEC awards were just released, with Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee headlining most of the awards.

The Volunteers had four players named to the All-SEC first and second teams, the offensive player of the year in Hendon Hooker, and coach of the year in Josh Heupel. Georgia had nine players that received first and second-team honors, and Alabama had a stunning 10 players voted to the All-SEC teams, including Will Anderson taking home defensive player of the year honors for the second straight season.
