Following their season-high six-game winning streak, the Braves have lost three in a row. Fortunately, that has not stopped them for trimming their magic number.

As has been the case for the entire second-half, the Phillies have not been able to take advantage any time the Braves go on a little slide. A big key to that, has been Philadelphia’s poor performance versus the weak NL East. Incredibly, they have a losing record (17-19) when facing the Mets and Marlins. Compare that to the Braves, who are 26-9 against such teams. The race for the East does not appear to be going down to the wire like many expected, but I think Atlanta fans are just fine with that.
