MLB Network has unveiled its top 100 players, and the Braves were well represented. Atlanta placed seven on the list, which was tied for the second most with the Blue Jays and Phillies, behind the Astros and Mets, who had eight each.

I have covered each individually, which are linked below:

Austin Riley — #20
Ronald Acuna Jr. — #25
Max Fried — #36
Matt Olson — #43
Michael Harris — #53
Spencer Strider — #65
Sean Murphy — #84

Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Manny Machado, Nolan Arenado, Paul Goldschmidt, Joe Ramirez, Yordan Alvarez, and Freddie Freeman rounded out the top 10 players in order.

I have no problem with Ohtani over Judge, though some might. The home run king won MVP, but if I had to take one on the Braves, it would be the unicorn from Japan. Dansby Swanson also made the list as the #39 ranked player and was the only member of the Cubs to make an appearance.

The Braves could have several more players included in next year’s list, depending on how their 2023 campaigns go. Ozzie Albies is the first one to come to mind. Every season outside of last year, which was filled with injuries, Albies was one of the 100 best players in baseball. If he’s healthy, expect him to regain that notoriety.

The Braves also feature a pair of arms in the bullpen that could make an appearance next season if everything goes right this year — Raisel Iglesias and AJ Minter.

Congratulations to those who made it!

Which Braves will be included in the MLB top 100 next year?
