Falcons’ A.J. Terrell makes Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s top 3 CBs list

The Falcons don’t feature many elite talents, even after spending a fortune in free agency this offseason. Calais Campbell is at the end of his career; David Onyemata is on the wrong side of 30, and Kaden Elliss isn’t exactly a proven commodity. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t prominent players on the roster.

Most notably, A.J. Terrell and Chris Lindstrom, who are are probably the best two players on the Falcons right now. Sure, Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London can reach superstar status, but they aren’t regarded in the same breath as Terrell and Lindstrom.

The All-Pro cornerback regularly appears on top 10 lists, and Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson even has him in his top three, which is certainly an opinion considering there are guys like Sauce Gardner, Jaire Alexander, and Patrick Surtain II out there.

I don’t even think I would put A.J. Terrell in my top three corners. The Falcons star is among the most talented players in the league, but the position is incredibly volatile. His 2021 campaign was arguably the best in football, but his 2022 season was a stark reminder of just how unforgiving the NFL can be.

Consistency is what separates the goods from the greats. However, I’d be a fool not to mention the circumstances.

Terrell was surrounded by a bunch of fast food workers. The Falcons dramatically improved their roster this offseason, which should in turn benefit Terrell.
