Falcons: Kyle Pitts is highest rated rookie in Madden

Many draft analysts and experts felt that Kyle Pitts was the best non-quarterback prospect in his class. Well, the rating creators at Madden also believe he is the best in his class after awarding him with the highest rating among rookies — 81.

Pitts is obviously a generational talent. The former Florida Gator broke several combine records with his freakish combination of size and athleticism. The 6’6″, 245-pound tight end ran his 40-yard dash in a remarkable 4.44 seconds, recorded a 10’9″ broad jump and a 33.5-inch vertical leap. However, the most impressive measurement had to be his wingspan, which is over 83 inches and is longer than any other wide receiver or tight end that has been measured at the NFL combine in the last 20 years. That 4.44 40-yard dash is evident in his speed rating as well.

Without playing a single snap in the NFL, the league already respects what Pitts is physically able to do. He’s not a traditional tight end by any means, and with Arthur Smith, he won’t be used as such. Defensive coordinators are going to be lying sleepless Saturdays before they face Pitts for the next decade. He’s a certified freak, and Madden acknowledging his ability is just the beginning.
