Falcons rookie among those who could crack ESPN Top 100 in 2024

NFL: AUG 04 Atlanta Falcons Training Camp

ESPN put out their top 100 players list, but instead of just putting out a subjective ranking, the publication decided debate them with those who voted.

A.J. Terrell was the only Falcons player to make it. Chris Lindstrom was among these categorized as snubbed. They discussed who was too high, too low, and rookies who could join the 2024 crop of top 100 players, which features a Falcons first-year player — Bijan Robinson.

Seahawks’ Devon Witherspoon, Panthers’ Bryce Young, and Eagles’ Jalen Carter are among the rookies that ESPN believes could debut next season. Here’s what Jordan Reid said about the prospect of Robinson joining Terrell:

With the Falcons selecting him at No. 8 overall, Robinson is expected to post big rushing numbers in Year 1. But he could also quickly become a key option in the team’s pass game. He has high-level traits and should make an immediate impact. — Jordan Reid, NFL draft analyst

Depending on who you ask, you’ll get different projections and expectations for Bijan Robinson. The Falcons playmaker has been described as a superstar in the making (by me) and the face of the franchise already (also me). Those are accuracte characterizations.

However, there’s two sides to every coin. Those not fond of the Falcons selection will voice their skepticism, but the only people who aren’t excited about his potential in Arthur Smith’s offense are those who haven’t watched him… or liars.

I fully expect Bijan Robinson to be among the best players in the league, not just his position. That’s how special the Texas product can be. The Falcons didn’t go the traditiional route, drafting a tight end, wide receiver, and running back in three straight first rounds, but it sure will be a helluva a lot of fun to watch for fans.
