Second round pick Greyson Jenista has been an absolute dynamo since being drafted by the Braves. All it took was a scouting report on Jenista coming out of the draft to know his appeal is his power tool. His bat has been on full display the past few weeks.
The Wichita State product is putting things together fast in pro ball. Jenista started out in Danville but got the promotion to Rome just weeks later.
He has performed even better in Rome, posting a .294 batting average and .848 OPS in the middle of a lineup that is stacked with young talent.
Jenista is a guy to keep an eye on as it is not hard to project him as a future 30+ home run guy in the big leagues. Being a college bat, he may go through the system faster than others.
His impressive play thus far in his pro debut has our attention even though he has not reached 100 at-bats yet. This kid is about to rise up prospect boards. The tall lefty outfielder could be the future in right field after the days of Nick Markakis are done.
