Kyle Wright Dazzles In A Series To Forget

In a series that I could hardly stomach, there was one lone bright spot: Atlanta’s #2 Prospect.

Kyle Wright came in for 2 innings of relief in Game 2 while racking up back to back strikeouts, sitting down Jackie Bradley Jr. and Sandy Leon. Newcomb’s control issues doomed him from the beginning, and the Braves lost 5-1 before absolutely melting down 9-8 yesterday. It was a series to forget, but Boston is head and shoulders above every other team in baseball, and Kyle Wright looking awfully sharp against them.

Touki Toussaint took his best shot at baseball’s most potent offense, and he honestly looked pretty solid. With another few weeks left of baseball, you have to wonder if Wright or Toussaint could make enough of an impact to push for a playoff rotation spot.
