Brian Snitker already has plans for Game 4, and it looks like Bryse Wilson will toe the rubber for Atlanta.

This is a bit of a surprise to me. I didn’t expect this to be announced that quickly. Last week, I wrote how Wilson has earned his opportunity, but I honestly expected Matzek to be used as an opener. With Josh Tomlin‘s almost disaster last night, he’s probably eliminated from contention to get a start, and in a series with no days off, a Max Fried turnaround for Game 4 was out of the question. Depending on how Kyle Wright‘s start goes tonight, this could put a massive amount of pressure on Wilson if the series is 2-1.

Wilson has never faced the Dodgers or pitched in the postseason. He had some good starts towards the end of 2020, but this will easily be the biggest challenge of his young career. LA crushes right-handed pitching, so Wright and Wilson are going to have to battle to keep the Dodgers from creeping up on Atlanta.
