Braves: Ender Inciarte finds a new home

After finally being DFA’d by the Braves, Ender Inciarte has found a new home, as he signed a minor-league contract with the Cincinnati Reds yesterday and has been assigned to Triple-A Louisville.

Following a magical start to his career in Atlanta, featuring three Gold Gloves and an All-Star appearance, Inciarte’s production fell off a cliff. He was once a player who consistently pushed the .300 threshold, but he’s failed to hit over .246 since 2019 and was batting just .215 before his release from the Braves. On top of that, his typically spectacular defense was also regressing.

Ender’s time in Atlanta probably should have ended well before it did. However, at just 30-years-old, I still think he can be productive for another MLB team. A fresh start and a change of scenery was something he desperately needed. Hopefully, he gets that with the Reds, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he found himself back in the majors before long.
