After all the moves the Braves have made over the last 72 hours, it became highly unlikely that Pederson would return. He wants to be an everyday player, and that was never going to happen in Atlanta, resulting in him signing with San Francisco.

Pederson will be an Atlanta legend forever. Without him, there’s no way the Braves would have won the World Series. They probably wouldn’t have even made the playoffs. Not only was he full of clutch hits in October, but he also completely re-energized the fan base. I mean, he had the entire fan base wearing pearls, for God’s sake. That kind of swag can’t be put into words. I really wish the Braves could have retained him, but it was always going to be a long shot.
