Braves: Michael Harris II takes next step in recovery

Braves record

Michael Harris is eligible to come off the IL, but we know that won’t happen. The Braves star centerfielder has yet to even begin taking batting practice. However, according to MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, that may not be the case for much longer. He reports Harris has begun doing agility drills, and that he could begin hitting again within the next couple of days.

The Braves own the best record in the National League, and the eye test supports their hot start. They look like the class of the NL, and what’s even scarier is they haven’t even been anywhere close to full strength.

Max Fried has returned from the IL and will make his second start of the season tonight against the Padres. Kyle Wright looked much better in his second outing yesterday. But the Braves still have Michael Harris, Orlando Arcia, Collin McHugh, and Raisel Iglesias all on the Injured List right now. Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that any of the injuries should be long-term. A month from now, The Braves could look even more dangerous than the team that is currently 12-4 through 16 games.
