Just shortly after starting Eddie Rosario on a rehab assignment, the Braves have sent Tyler Matzek to Low A Augusta to get some innings in:
Tyler Matzek is headed to Augusta tomorrow. He expects to begin a rehab assignment when the Low-A affiliate begins its series Tuesday.
He has been out since May with a left shoulder impingement.

Matzek had a rough start to 2022, but with little-to-no offseason, I don’t think it’s fair to write him off completely. Atlanta badly needs him in the later innings, as Will Smith has been shaky at times. AJ Minter has been brilliant, but it never hurts to add more to the bullpen. Kirby Yates and Mike Soroka should be back soon along with Rosario, so hopefully the Braves just keep getting healthier as they chase down the Mets.
