It looks like the Braves could be done with their offseason moves

Braves Alex Anthopoulos

The last 72 hours have been a whirlwind for Braves fans. From the Matt Olson trade to the recent addition of Alex Dickerson as a bench piece, this roster has taken shape in just a matter of days as they aim to repeat as champions. I don’t think there is any doubt the Braves are in a better spot to win a World Series this year than they have been in the last five seasons, which should have fans giddy for Opening Day.

If there is a hole on the roster, it’s in the rotation. After Max Fried, Charlie Morton, and Ian Anderson, there are a lot of question marks when it comes to the Braves starting pitching. The promising aspect of it is Atlanta does have a lot of options. Several young arms are bordering on major-league ready; it’s just a matter of getting over the hump. Ideally, I would like the Braves to add at least one more veteran to the mix, but it looks like they could be done this offseason.

According to Alex Anthopoulos, the Braves aren’t close to making any other deals at the moment.

Adding another rotation option could hinge on how Spring Training goes. If several of the young arms come out looking crisp, the Braves could opt to go with their current group. However, if they falter or an injury occurs, expect Anthopoulos to add to the rotation in some capacity.
