Report: Braves bringing back Shane Greene

According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the Braves are about to get some reinforcements for their bullpen.

It’s a bit puzzling that Shane Greene wasn’t already signed. Perhaps we will get a reason as to why that was in his first press conference because he certainly has the talent and track record to be on an MLB roster. Greene may not be the All-Star that the Braves traded for back in 2019, be he still posted a more than respectable 2.60 ERA in 27.2 innings out of Atlanta’s ‘pen last year. Given how porous the Braves relief core has been so far this season, particularly from the right side, adding Greene will be a significant boost.
