The Braves season ended abruptly at the hands of one of their division rivals. It was far from how everyone expected it to end, but there is too much young talent on this team to sulk on the past for much longer. It’s on to next season, and the Braves have an eventful winter ahead of them. Their primary focus will be on Dansby Swanson, but several other members of the team are set to hit the open market, including some minor-leaguers that have recently elected free agency.
The following #Braves minor leaguers have elected free agency:
INF Ryan Goins
OF Alex Dickerson
OF Travis Demeritte

All three of these players spent a stint in Atlanta this season, and Travis Demeritte even helped carry the offense early in the year. They are borderline major-leaguers that are unlikely to make the Braves roster in 2023, so it makes sense for them to evaluate their options. I wouldn’t mind seeing Demeritte back with the organization, but there’s a strong possibility that he latches on with a rebuilding team where he can earn some playing time at the major-league level.
