Expectations are at an all-time low for the Falcons this year. Analysts and oddsmakers alike give the club hardly any hope. Now, bettors are wagering on the Falcons being terrible; a $2,000 bet was placed on the team to go winless in the NFC South this season.

CBS analysts believe the Falcons won’t eclipse their Vegas projected win total; NFL.com believes Atlanta’s floor is 3-14; USA Today believes the team will be selecting No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft; And Vegas projects Atlanta to be favored in only one matchup in 2022. The only people who believe in the Falcons are inside the building, and the few fans with blind loyalty.

“I feel like we’re a playoff team,” Zaccheaus said via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We just (have) to put everything together. Really start fast at the beginning of the season and not get into a hole. I just feel like as a team, we can shock a lot of people.”

Veteran free agent addition Casey Hayward echoed those sentiments, questioning why the Falcons couldn’t surprise people and compete following the Matt Ryan trade. Second-year phenom Kyle Pitts has also told reporters not to underestimate the Falcons, even going as far as to say the team can compete for a Super Bowl.

This bettor probably is a Falcons fan who just wants to ironically make a little money, honestly. Atlanta will more than likely win two intradivision games — one or two against the Panthers and one against the Saints.
