The Braves were supposed to host the All-Star Game in 2021, but for political reasons — which is another story for a different day — it was moved to Colorado. Unfortunately, for Major League Baseball, Atlanta got the last laugh as they participated and won the World Series.
Hopefully, politics will be put aside this time around, and the reasoning for the game, which is baseball, can be the primary focus. The Atlanta Braves are the pinnacle of the sport. They are the best team in the league and are set up for years of success.
But beyond that, The Battery and Truist Park are a blueprint for every organization that is looking to build a new stadium. It is a one-on-one experience that has been a resounding success, and I’m thrilled that baseball fans everywhere will get a chance to experience it come 2025.
It’s the first time the All-Star Game will take place in Atlanta since 2000, and while it came a little later than it was supposed to, it’s better late than never.
