Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team littered with Bulldogs

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: JAN 09 CFP National Championship

The Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team was released on Tuesday, and the results show just how rich this Georgia Bulldogs team is with talent, despite sending nearly an entire team to the NFL over the last two years.

A ridiculous ten Bulldogs were named First-Team All-SEC, five on each side of the ball.

Four other Bulldogs were selected to the second team.

The SEC is loaded with more talent than any other league. The top of the Big 10 this year can be compared to the top of the SEC, but the depth of this conference is not comparable. For Georgia to have 10 guys on the first team and 14 players among the first two teams is absolutely absurd, especially when considering how much talent they’ve watched head to the league in each of the last two draft classes.

When someone says the Georgia Bulldogs are now the standard of college football, they aren’t doing this program justice. They are a machine of elite athletes, all of whom come to the program with the same mindset. Kirby Smart‘s ability to recruit, develop, and keep these young men focused on the goal at the end of the season might even be better than the man he won so much under while he was at Alabama.

At some point, every dynasty comes to an end, and the reason oftentimes is not seen coming. But right now, it looks like this train is just getting on the tracks. Georgia is trying to do something that’s never been done, win three straight National Championships, and they have all the pieces to make history.
