Sean Newcomb was recently acquired by the A’s from the Giants after a decent showing in AAA. The A’s, of course, are looking for whatever they can get at this point. He had a 3.15 ERA over 34.1 innings with Sacramento, and the A’s are going to give him another shot. I’m happy to see Newk getting some run. Things didn’t work out in Atlanta, but maybe they will in Oakland. This could be his last opportunity at the major-league level.
