Chase Irle’s Locks

Giants (+3) vs. Cardinals

Call me a Giants homer; I believe in Joe Judge and what is going on in New York. These are two teams heading in opposite directions, and I think the Giants win this one outright, but I’ll take the three points just in case.

Texans (-1) at Bears

The Texans slipped up against the Colts last week, but they are still playing good football. The Bears are losers of seven straight, and while perhaps this is the weekend they break that streak, I think it’s pretty safe to take Houston to win.

Chiefs (-7) at Miami

Credit to what Brian Flores has done in Miami, but I think they are outclassed in this one. The Dolphins defense is very good, but not elite enough to where they are going to shut down Kansas City. I just don’t think Miami has the offensive firepower to keep up. If the Chiefs show up prepared, this one could get ugly.

Football Team (+3) at 49ers

Like the Giants, the Redskins are just playing real quality fundamental football. That should be enough to beat the 49ers, who are decimated by injuries.

Saints (-6.5) at Eagles

I’m interested to watch the Jalen Hurts experiment, but this is not the team you want to play in your first career NFL start. The Saints defense is oozing with confidence. I could see them having a field day with Hurts on Sunday.

Miami (+7) vs. Kansas City

I’m going to fade Chase here. I’m not completely sold on the Chiefs as the dominating force that they are portrayed to be. They have played a lot of close games against teams much worse than the Dolphins. Take Miami this Sunday.

Jets (+13.5) at Seahawks

The Jets are bad, but they proved last week they can be competitive, and Seattle is playing some of the worst football out of anybody recently. Take New York with confidence (that felt weird to say).

Colts (-3) at Raiders

We’re starting to find out the truth about the Raiders — they are frauds. I believe in the Colts, and this is a must-win for them with a playoff berth on the line. They win comfortably in Las Vegas.

Buffalo (-2) vs. Steelers

This simply comes down to the Bills being the better team. The Steelers have squeaked out far too many close games. One went against them last week, and one will again on Sunday. Bills by a field goal.

Giants (+3) vs. Cardinals

I’m with Chase here for the same reasons he said above.
