For Atlanta Braves fans across the country, the fun filled, baseball lovers headquarters will now go from being called Turner Field, to SunTrust Park. The new ballpark will hold 41,500 fans and will be surrounded by “revenue generating amenities”. It will be one of the more modern crown jewels of professional baseball. The former stadium, Turner Field, hosted some of the best players the game has ever seen including Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones and Craig Kimbrel but will without a doubt play a key role in further developing the futures of the Atlanta Braves major league players as well as the farm system prospects looking for a chance to make their way up to Atlanta. A few hotspots surrounding the new ballpark feature a hotel, many restaurants and places to shop which will not only bring in revenue for the Braves, but will bring in revenue for local businesses as well. The $672 million dollar project is coming along on schedule, as the Braves will open their 2017 season in the new ballpark.
